Identical twins Chris and Xan van Tulleken are doctors and joint presenters of a major new BBC and Open University co-production, ‘The Human Body: Secrets of Your Life Revealed’.
This three-part series uses up to the minute technology to show how our bodies grow, survive and learn throughout our lives. Using cutting edge science, including experimenting on their own bodies, the doctors reveal the incredible stories hidden within us. The first episode, broadcast on BBC1 at 9pm on 25 September and now available on iPlayer, explores the process of growth and includes amazing shots of the shower of zinc that happens when an egg is fertilised. The programme website has a number of clips available as well as some exciting learning resources including augmented reality 3-D animations of the heart, liver and brain.
The Open University has an Open Learn page on the series at offering free posters and augmented reality postcards.
