PSHE Resources- Bullying

Inspired by CBBC’s upcoming Anti-Bullying Week (beginning Monday the 17th November), we’ve compiled a list of audio visual resources that may be useful in inspiring dialogue with your class or tutor group. Included are programmes that would be suitable for both Primary and Secondary students, and might be especially handy as a starter or discussion point during a PSHE lesson.

 

Newsround: Caught in the Web (CBBC)

This programme, voiced by David Tennant, explores the dangers of meeting someone in a chatroom and features tips on how to be safe online.

 

My Life: Leo’s Anti-Bullying Advice  (Leo’s episode of My Life airs on Monday 17th, 6pm, CBBC)

In this clip, Leo gives his top 5 tips for coping with bullying. In Monday’s programme Leo will talk about his experiences as a transgender child through video diaries.

 

Newsround: How to Make Friends on Planet Earth (Thursday 20th, 5:55pm, CBBC)

From CBBC:

An alien disguises herself as a schoolgirl and visits Earth with one mission – to find a best friend. On her journey, she explores getting in with the wrong crowd, finds out about building long-lasting relationships, and ultimately learns it is better to have a few good friends than one best friend.
