ERA Licence tariff rates for Schools confirmed from April 2015

The tariff rates for schools for the ERA Licences running from 1 April 2015 were set following discussions with stakeholders and will be:-

(a) for students in Primary schools (including Preparatory schools, special schools, pupil referral units and non-maintained special schools) from 1 April 2015 to 31 March 2016 – 40p per student. (b) for students in Secondary Schools and students in educational establishments of Further Education (including former Sixth Form Colleges) who have not attained the age of 18 at the start of the education year from 1 April 2015 to 31 March 2016 – 91p per student.

Abatements against application of the tariff rates may be negotiated at ERA’s discretion to cover groups of Educational Establishments for whom licence fees are paid centrally.

For funded schools within England the central payment arrangements in place with the Department for Education will continue to apply.

Following payment, renewal Licences will be issued to schools for whom fees have been paid by the Centre for Education an Finance Management.

Local Authorities in Wales and Scotland have been issued invitations to renew payment arrangements for funded schools within their areas for the Licence Year commencing 1 April 2015.
