Synopsis
Russell T Davies' adaptation of Shakespeare's comedy, from 2016. In the tyrannical court of Athens, dictator Theseus plans his wedding to Hippolyta. Hermia and her lover Lysander elope to the forest pursued by Demetrius and Helena, where they fall under the spell of a mischievous fairy, Puck. Elsewhere, a troupe of would-be thespians has difficulty performing their play.
