Synopsis
Not many people would give up all their worldly possessions, forsake family, take a vow of celibacy, and then roll on their side for 4,000 kilometres through scorching heat and monsoon floods as a penance. And yet that is exactly what Lotan Baba has done. Lotan Baba is a sadhu, a holy man whose sole purpose is union with the Divine. He and his extraordinary pilgrimage are the subject of the first of three documentaries exploring the lives of these unique and exotic people. Shot in more than 50 remote locations, the films are a visual portrait of India as well as a rare and intimate glimpse into the secret world of the sadhu.
