Windrush apology | BBC News at Ten
The Home Secretary has apologised to 18 members of the so-called Windrush generation, after a review found that they may have been wrongfully removed from the UK or detained. The Windrush generation refers to the hundreds of thousands of immigrants, who moved to the UK from the Caribbean and other commonwealth states, between 1948 and 1971, but they were never given proper documentation.
