Animeiddio Shakespeare | Darlunio Shakespeare
Welsh language documentary to launch a series of animated Shakespeare plays, including A Midsummer Night's Dream. Six of the best-loved plays have been magically realised through an unlikely alliance of Russian and Welsh animators. The collaboration survived the abortive Moscow coup of August 1991 and huge pressures on the Russian studio. Filmed mostly in Moscow, this is a tale whose twists and turns might well have appealed to Shakespeare himself.
