For over 20 years, American actor Sam Wanamaker has nurtured a dream of rebuilding Shakespeare's Globe Theatre near its original site in Southwark, London. As building work begins, that dream is now coming true. Sir Michael Hordern leads a distinguished cast of actors, architects and academics who look forward to the fulfilment of Wanamaker's dream, and the opening of the theatre on Shakespeare's birthday in 1992.
