Originally a Royal Shakespeare Company production directed by Peter Hall and John Barton, the four plays were condensed into three screenplays: Henry VI, Edward I and Richard III.

The original stage directions are read by Gabriel Woolf and the music is played by the English Chamber Orchestra conducted by Rae Jenkins. This part contains Henry VI, Part I and Part II to Act IV Sc.1.
