Synopsis
Rita Tikhonova is 21; she lives in Moscow, sharing a small flat about a mile from the Kremlin. She spent last year training to be a teacher. The first of these unique film portraits of people from all over the Soviet Union examines the life-style of one of the young Communist faithful in the Soviet capital. As the cameras follow her through training and exams to her first job in a Moscow school, Rita talks frankly about her boyfriends and her parents, about sex and contraception, and how she sees her role in a socialist society.
