Adaptations in the Classroom Guides and Resources
Adaptations in the Classroom, developed with adaptations specialist Dr. Lucy Hobbs, is a curriculum-aligned resource for KS3 and KS4. It uses film and television adaptations of Dickens’s A Christmas Carol to deepen students’ understanding of the written text at GSCE level.
This resource includes:
- Reading Through Adaptations – an introduction to using adaptations in the classroom by Dr Lucy Hobbs
- Teachers’ Guide to Using the Resources
- 3 flexible lesson plans – featuring instructions for a range of activities that focus on key extracts from the novella, using the adaptations as stimuli for learning
