About the Video Streaming Platform

The Video Streaming Platform provides access to a curated collection of TV and Radio programmes that link to educational curricula and courses, enabling teachers to easily identify programmes that meet their teaching needs.

Users can search for content by keyword (e.g. ‘Shakespeare’), browse through our collection by selecting a subject (e.g. ‘History’) and refine their search results by applying our ‘study level’ and ‘exam board’ filters.

Create an account for access to  a large and expanding archive of BBC programmes, clipped to suit classroom use and permanently available to stream from your account.

Where to start?

  1. Start by entering a keyword into the search bar without applying any of the filters.

Tip!

When searching for authors, figures or battles etc., using one key word rather than a phrase works best.

Looking for something specific?

  1. Start by entering a keyword into the search bar without applying any of the filters.
  2. Then try refining your search by subject, study level and exam board (if appropriate).

Just browsing?

  1. Set the subject filter to your subject of choice and flick through.

Looking for BTECS?

If you’re looking for topics or subjects only offered in a BTEC, you can search via your subject or you can apply the FE filter within Levels or you can filter your search via your exam board e.g. City & Guilds or Pearson.
