Synopsis
Daisy Goodwin presents a series about the romantic novel. This edition looks at romantic heroines, who have frequently reflected the times and often created ground-breaking role models for women. Daisy visits the set of the BBC's new Jane Eyre and also spends a day with a Yorkshire book group who give a contemporary opinion of some well-known twentieth century heroines. Other interviewees include Barbara Taylor Bradford, Sophie Kinsella and Marina Warner.
