Synopsis
Derek Jacobi looks at Richard II, a role he played 30 years ago. He helps actors at the Globe with aspects of the play and reveals why it might have cost Shakespeare his life.

Richard II Live from the Globe
For the first time in nearly 50 years, there is a live and interactive broadcast of a theatrical production, as Shakespeare's 'Richard II' is performed live from the Globe Theatre, London. This is an all-male production of the play. Corin Redgrave, Zoe Wanamaker and Michael Wood discuss the performance and the play’s historical context. There is also a backstage look at the theatre and a commentary by Matt Woolf. The production is introduced by Andrew Marr.
