Synopsis
Writer and comedian David Baddiel comes from a family of Jewish migrants. His mother, Sarah, believes she may have been adopted in a bid to escape the Nazis in the late 1930s; her uncle, Amo, remained in Germany but never saw the family again. During a trip to Russia, Germany and Poland, Baddiel unearths a story of great success marred by war. On his father's side he discovers a family of Orthodox Jews - will they agree to meet him?
