Synopsis

Ben Anderson packs his passport to begin a perilous journey along the West African coast, a region marred by the slave trade, a colonial carve-up and gruesome civil wars. In Liberia he meets the country's most notorious female killer, the legions of drugged child soldiers who would rather be in school, and the UN peace-keepers whose difficult task it is to maintain calm in the region.
